Shakira & Robert | Real Wedding

Good Afternoon gorgeous creatures.... Have I got a treat for you today... I have been waiting to have the time to sit down and share this beautiful wedding with you FOR AGES (and that's not an exaggeration - this beaut of a day took place back in February!)

I got chatting to the lovely Shakira after she spotted a wedding we did featured in Brides Magazine and came to me asking for help styling her big day to partner Robert. We started chatting about her and Robert's gorgeous day and I was captivated from the start.... They had visions of a simple, elegant but modern winter wedding at the beautiful Northbrook Park. With a colour palette of gold, grey and dark green with pops of rich deep burgundies it was truly going to be a feast for the eyes!

I helped Shakira & Robert throughout their wedding planning journey advising them on styling ideas and helping to come up with a concept for their reception and ceremony. The day itself was wet and windy but the love and warmth that shines out from the photos by Harry Michael of their gorgeous family are testament to the incredible day had by all! 

As you can see Northbook Park is just beautiful... even on a drab February... The venue is finished to a beautiful standard and benefits from having separate areas for ceremony, reception and all the bits in between...

Shakira & Rob has their ceremony in the beautiful Vine Room... I worked with the lovely Liz from Flower & Fern to create a simple boho luxe aisle with mixed foraged foliage, pampas grasses and a mix of candles, bottles and vases. We also adorned the fireplace with loads of flickering church candles and more foliage... the room is so beautiful that it really didn't need much.

How blooming gorgeous do they both look? I adore the genuine smiles and Harry has captured everything so beautifully!! Shakira's gown is by Eliza Jane Howell and her stunning Juliet Cap veil is by Megan Therese couture bridal accessories. Liz created the most perfect bouquet for Shakira and the soft tones and textures are just dreamy!

Shakira & Rob's beautiful children Noah & Esme were their flower girl and page boy and weren't they just the cutest little munchkins?? Harry and second shooter Sally Faith caught so many gorgeous details from the day and these little teasers below are some of my favourite... they tell the story of the day through the little moments and details.... <3

For their Reception Shakira, Rob & their friends and family headed to The Orangery. A huge space which over looks a courtyard garden. We styled the space using pale grey table cloths, forest green napkins and lots of touches of brass and gold. 

In addition to asking us to set up and style the two spaces Shakira and Rob also hired lots of lovely bits from us including brass and vintage cut glass candle sticks, brass vessels and our mahogany and brass tables stands...together with more florals from Flower and Fern the reception looked incredible! After the ceremony we relocated all the foliage and pampas to the top table to create an incredible full garland which was interspersed with candles and glass tea light holders....

As daylight faded and the fairy lights twinkled into the night the space got even more magical... Some of my favourite shots are of Shakira in our Peacock Chairs surrounded by fairy lights! 

I couldn't not share these stunning photos of Shakira with her best girls who all looked incredible in floor-length dark green gowns and black leather jackets...

Equally how dapper do the boys look in their classic black tux's and bowties.... a beautifully timeless and and handsome look I think you'll agree!

After the reception the couple were joined with all their guests back in the vine room to cut the cake before the evening fun began....Shakira & Rob also hired 3 different cake stands from us which were topped with three incredible looking cakes...the most tasty looking of the three being one topped with dripping caramel sauce and mini donuts!! Urm.... Yum!!

What an incredible day huh??
